Microcross Joins the MIPS Alliance Program

ATLANTA, Aug. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Microcross Inc., a global provider of embedded software development tools and support services, today announced an agreement with MIPS Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: MIPS MIPSB), for participation in the MIPS(TM) Alliance Program (MAP). MIPS Technologies is a leading provider of industry-standard processor architectures and cores for digital consumer and network applications.

Under the agreement, Microcross will provide tool suites for the MIPS32(TM) and MIPS64(TM) architectures and compatible processor cores, which are high-performance, 32- and 64-bit RISC processor cores for system-on-a-chip applications such as battery-operated handheld devices, cable modems, line cards, and set-top boxes. The tool suites to be provided by Microcross will be included with Microcross' GNU X-Tools(TM), now shipping to 24 countries around the world.
